Barcelona, March 2026
The annual PARJAP Congress of the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens (AEPJP) is a meeting place for all local, provincial, and national government departments related to the creation, management, and maintenance of public green spaces, a forum for sharing the most innovative projects carried out annually in Spain.
Gijón Ecoresliente, a project supported by the Government of Spain, the Biodiversity Foundation, and funded by the European Next Generation Funds, has implemented new gardening practices for almost three years aimed at protecting, enriching, and enhancing urban biodiversity, along with outreach and citizen participation programs, with the goal of raising public awareness and generating a city concept focused on the environment.
The scientific and educational poster which summarizes the actions, methodology and results of the project, has been recognized with the Best Poster Award at the 52nd PARJAP Congress 2026.
